EatRover Couriers App Privacy Policy

This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of your Personal Information when you use the EatRover Couriers app (the "Service"). The EatRover Couriers app is designed for fleet management of courier drivers who have existing contracts with restaurants or retail stores ("Partner Businesses") that utilize EatRover's software for delivery services.

EatRover acts solely as a software provider. We are not involved in the direct contractual relationships between couriers/drivers and Partner Businesses. By using the EatRover Couriers app, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Your Consent and Responsibilities

By using this app, you consent to the collection and sharing of your location and other operational data with your employer or manager (at the Partner Business) during your active work shift. This information is used for operational reasons related to deliveries.

You are responsible for logging out of the app when you are off-shift to prevent the collection of location data not related to your work duties. The system is designed to automatically log you off if no activity is detected for a period of three (3) hours. However, this is a safety measure, and you should always log out manually to ensure your privacy. EatRover is not responsible for operational data collected if you fail to log out or remain on a shift beyond expected hours.

You agree that all operational information shared through the app—such as orders received, deliveries, time parked, time on the road, and location—is work-related. This operational information is never shared with any third parties outside of your Partner Business. You must not share confidential customer information with any third parties. This includes details about orders, addresses, and the location of addresses.

The information shared with you is for your work duties only. You shall not share, show, or permit anyone else to access the app or your account to view this data. You bear the full responsibility for any violation of privacy laws, such as GDPR, resulting from the unauthorized disclosure of data from this app.

Information We Collect and How We Use It

We collect information necessary to provide fleet management services to our Partner Businesses. This information helps facilitate efficient delivery operations and ensures the security and integrity of the platform.

Personal Information

We collect information that can directly identify you ("Personal Information") primarily to enable our Partner Businesses to manage their courier fleets. This includes:

• Account Information: Your full name and phone number. This information is provided to us by the Partner Business with whom you have a contract.
• Location Information: Geographic coordinates obtained with your explicit consent during an active shift. This data is essential for features such as:
• Tracking your current shift status (e.g., "parked," "on a mission").
• Providing real-time location updates to your Partner Business for delivery tracking and dispatching.
• Receiving location coordinates for your next delivery mission from your Partner Business.
• Shift and Mission Status: Details regarding your current work status, including whether you are on a shift, parked, or actively on a delivery mission.

We use your Personal Information to:

• Enable Fleet Management: Provide your Partner Business with the necessary tools to view your shift status, location, and mission details to facilitate efficient delivery operations.
• Facilitate Deliveries: Allow your Partner Business to send you location data for upcoming delivery assignments.
• Maintain Service Functionality: Ensure the EatRover Couriers app operates effectively for its intended purpose of courier management.
• Comply with Legal Requirements: Adhere to any applicable legal and regulatory obligations.

Log Data

When you use the app, we collect data and information (potentially through third-party services) on your device called "Log Data." This may include:

• Your device's Internet Protocol (IP) address (anonymized where possible)
• Device type, model, and operating system version
• App version and build number
• App configuration settings
• Time and date of app use
• Usage statistics (e.g., features accessed, screen views)
• Crash reports (de-identified)

We use Log Data to:

• Analyze App Performance: Identify technical issues and improve the stability and efficiency of the EatRover Couriers app.
• Improve User Experience: Enhance the overall functionality and usability of the application.
• Diagnose and Troubleshoot: Address any technical problems you may encounter.
• Ensure Security: Maintain the security and integrity of the EatRover platform.

Cookies and Third-Party Services

• Cookies: The EatRover Couriers app itself does not directly use cookies. However, please be aware that third-party services integrated within the app may use cookies for purposes such as analytics and improving the functionality of our maps. • Maps and Location Services: (e.g., Google Maps) We use these services to enable your Partner Business to track your location for delivery management and to send you location-based delivery assignments. Your explicit consent is required before we access your location information.

Data Security

We are committed to protecting your Personal Information. We take reasonable, industry-standard measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These steps include:

• Secure Storage: Your Personal Information is stored on secure servers with industry-standard security measures.
• Data Encryption: We encrypt your Personal Information both in transit and at rest where appropriate.
• Access Controls: Access to your Personal Information is limited to authorized personnel only, specifically the legitimate managers of the Partner Businesses associated with your account.
• Regular Security Reviews: We conduct regular security reviews to identify and address potential vulnerabilities in our systems.

While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Information, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. Therefore, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Data Sharing and Disclosure

EatRover acts as a software provider and does not sell or release any of your Personal Information to third parties, except as described in this policy. Your data is primarily accessible to the Partner Business with whom you have a direct contract for fleet management purposes. By signing a contract with a Partner Business that uses EatRover's software, you agree to the terms regarding data sharing as outlined herein and in accordance with relevant data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR).

We may disclose your Personal Information in good faith when such action is necessary to:

• Comply with a legal obligation.
• Protect and defend the rights or property of EatRover.
• Prevent or investigate possible wrongdoing in connection with the Service.
• Protect the personal safety of users of the Service or the public.
• Protect against legal liability.

Data Retention & Your Rights

Your account is managed by the Partner Business with whom you have a contract. For all requests regarding your personal data and account, you must contact your Partner Business directly. This includes requests to:

• Access your account information.
• Correct or update your personal information.
• Delete your account.

We retain the operational data associated with your account for 12 months to allow for billing, analysis, and dispute resolution. Data of inactive accounts is also retained for 12 months from the last date of activity. After this period, the data is permanently and securely deleted.

In compliance with privacy laws like GDPR and CCPA, we handle all requests for data deletion from your employer (the Partner Business). The Partner Business must submit a request to EatRover via email at info@eatrover.com.

• We do not process these requests directly from individual app users.
• Upon a valid request from a Partner Business, we will delete their data from our systems within 14 working days, as required for lawful logging.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page.
